# Discerning followed by choosing is the way to make good decisions.

- p.179 "The word "decision" ... means "to cut." When we decide to pursue one thing, we necessarily cut away another. If there's no cutting, we haven't  made any decisions at all...The word "discernment" ... means "to distinguish"; it refers to the ability to see the difference between two paths and to know which one is the better way forward."
- The two words (decision and discernment) go together in our pursuit forward. To know the right way to go and choose to go that way is how we prosper in our decisions.
